Assigned to me, Noah and Ramona, with question for Gina on maps.

This afternoon FO requested a series of visualizations to include as part of briefing for Steiger this week. Presentation should make a case for USAID's continued leadership in Tx space. PCT has been asked to pull together materials. SIEI has been asked to produce the following by 12pm tomorrow:

  1. FY16-FY18 Tx achievement (and testing) -Noah
  2. Costing trend data (cost per positive) over time -Ramona
  3. Mapping USAID's MCH/FP programs in LTS countries -Rachel. Gina, on #3, do you know if GH Data Hub has maps of MCH /FP programs? Would it be difficult to overlap FP, MCH, and USAID HIV programs across 23 LTS and regional programs?

@lucasrachel Leeza asked me about a year+ ago for boundary files for the 25 MCHN priority countries, so my assumption that they've moved forward on some mapping of them. There is some overlap in their priority countries and ours. Theirs are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma (Myanmar), DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, Sudan/South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia.

I can reach out to her for an update. Difficulty of the task will depend on the state and format of the data MCH/FP folks are maintaining.

Bill Weiss probably also has something from MCH side. will CC him

Simple spreadsheet of countries indicating if each is priority for MCH, FP, and HIV is in a folder for this tasker here. Focus for now is on LTS countries.

For immediate deadline, someone can use this to easily put together map in tableau, arc or other. I will continue to pursue conversations with colleagues outside OHA about doing this subnationally where needed. FYI on the overlap of priority countries for all three sectors:

Democratic Republic of the Congo Ethiopia Haiti Kenya Malawi Mozambique Nigeria Rwanda South Sudan Tanzania Uganda Zambia

Let me know if you need anything further.
