Google Sheets Connection

• Post weekly output to Google Drive
• Add connection in Tableau file
• Each week, replace/updated file on Google Drive
• Tableau users will need to refresh data source each time?

@tessam30 do you know if the connection between Tableau and Google Docs will only work with Google products, ie Google Sheets not a raw csv file? My though is its going to be a pain to covert to Google Sheets each time (the process would likely require deleting the old Google Sheet, uploading the csv and converting).

Going to try to test now. I'm off AIDNET so I may not be able to connect the to Google Drive. If not I'll do a quick test on regular Gmail with a dummy csv file and a Google Sheet.

Just uploaded the csv with the new data to our folder on GDrive.

Let me know if you have any thoughts.

Looks like you can only connect to Sheets(not csv). If I try to convert the csv file to Google Sheets, I get an error saying the file is too large (although it is only 200K row and the Google Drive documentation says you can have "Up to 2 million cells for spreadsheets that are created in or converted to Google Sheets." And no difference if I export it as an xlsx and try to convert then.
