@adriennerlong,
VoiceOver reads from the top of the page but if I attempt to read the next item it reads the "Next Topic" button. So the reading focus goes to the top of the page but the keyboard/VoiceOver focus stays on the button.
Same thing happens for Android and I'm guessing for web too.
From ICF: Fixed
VoiceOver now reads at the top of the page without the user having to move there.
The only confusing part is that it will read the "Next Topic", "Previous Topic", and then "Next Topic" buttons first and then reads the top of the page content.
I'm going to see how this works with the web and Android version before closing.
TalkBack now reads at the top of the page without the user having to move there.
I'm going to remove the Android label and see how this works with the web version before closing the issue.
Hi John- I noticed there's still an iOS tag on this issue, but it looks like you reviewed this on an iOS device 2 days ago. Can you please confirm whether this issue is resolved for iOS? Thanks!
@adriennerlong,
The reason I left the iOS label on was because the way VoiceOver is reading the buttons before heading to the top of the page.
The confusing part is that it will read the "Next Topic", "Previous Topic", and then "Next Topic" buttons first and then reads the top of the page content.
The web version is read from the top of the new page with JAWS.
Removing web label and waiting for fix to iOS version.
When I was re-testing with our iPhone (11.1.2) VoiceOver reads the Topics text from the top of the page when switching from one topic to the next.
When I re-tested with our iPad Air 2 (10.3.3) VoiceOver would first read the "Next topics" button once or twice then start reading from the top of the page.
Going to leave this open because people should be able to use the application correctly for the previous version of the operating system.
When using VoiceOver and activating the "Next Topic" button VoiceOver does not start reading the the top of the screen it went to.
