The proposed one-minute live talk format makes no sense for multiple reasons:
It would be a logistic nightmare to ensure that presenters are ordered properly, stay on time, and that presentations are lined up correctly.
Especially for more junior students who may not have much experience presenting, the one-minute format would be too stressful and increase their chance of tanking it.
Conferences with multiple parallel tracks often have a joint pre-session where every talk provides a one-minute video pitching the paper. Given that the proposed plan assigns every paper to a poster session, it makes more sense to use a similar video-based pre-session setup to pitch all the posters in a session.
