REST Endpoint returns no response when ID is URL #35

I thought we had this working - we were able to link to details pages or REST endpoints using DOI URLs as UUIDs. But now it seems to be broken? Or was this always an issue?

Yeah, roger that. Links to records with DOIs as identifiers were previously working, but something changed.

This still works: https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/catalog/search/resource/details.page?uuid=%7B91450BF1-0A09-4D17-A84A-E2D45EF8792E%7D but the title is missing when retrieved by DOI: https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/catalog/search/resource/details.page?uuid=https://doi.org/10.23719/1376685

And it’s actually the REST service where the breakdown is happening – this query succeeds: https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/rest/document?id=%7B91450BF1-0A09-4D17-A84A-E2D45EF8792E%7D but the DOI equivalent is empty: https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/rest/document?id=https%3A%2F%2Fdoi.org%2F10.23719%2F1376685

We’ll get right on it, thanks!

Torrin

I experience the same thing as you do using IE 11. I don’t have Chrome.

Hi all,

I just mentioned this on the call with Ana and Torrin; here are the links/screenshots.

So, older pages seem to look fine. This is https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/catalog/search/resource/details.page?uuid=A-9gj6-433

However, all of the recent ones we've had published seem to be missing that blue heading. For example, https://edg.epa.gov/metadata/catalog/search/resource/details.page?uuid=https://doi.org/10.23719/1376685

This occurs for me in Chrome, Firefox, and IE11. Let me know if you can reproduce the issue; if not, I can try to narrow things down a bit more. I did take a quick look in the browser dev tools and didn't see anything that I could immediately tell was the issue; there are some Javascript errors in the console but I see them on both pages.

Thanks, Max Felsher Contractor to ORD
