Some of the site codes from the EFR HAB surveys are more of a narrative site description, rather than the standard 5 digit numeric site code. The US ACE has adopted the following convention. We should do the same:

2EFR20121031 Corps Ramp-1 2EFRALG03 2EFR20121031 Tail Water-2 2EFR10000 2EFR20121031 Tate Ramp-3 2EFRTATE1 2EFR20121031 Main Beach-4 2EFR20024 2EFR20121031 Bethel Ramp-5 2EFR21001 2EFR20121031 Clover Road- 6 2EFRALG01 2EFR20121031 Tunnel Mill Ramp-7 2EFRTMILL 2EFR20121031 North Shore Ramp-8 2EFRNSHOR 2EFR20121031 Campground Beach-9 2EFRCGBEA 2EFR20121031 Campground Ramp-10 2EFR20005

Are you suggesting a mixture of 24 character IDs and IDs with 12 + text string + 9 characters?

Ok sorry, that wasn't clear. Some of the HAB data files from EFR contain a narrative description of the sampling sites (e.g. Campground Beach 9) rather than a standard 5 digit site code. This occurred when new sampling sites were added to the monitoring program, but not incorporated into the US ACE database. I have seen 10 of these narrative descriptions in the EFR data files. The key below provides a 5 digit code that should be used in place of the narrative description. If you run across other site codes that don't conform to the standard 5 digit pattern, please let me know. Make sense?
