Our are of interest is defined as the 20 reservoirs in the USACE Louisville District. Observations outside this spatial domain are not useful to our analysis and clutter up the data. Should these observations be removed 1) when you are reading in the original data and creating the .txt files, 2) after you create the .txt files, but before the chem and algae are merged, or 3) after chem and algae have been merged?
Examples include observations from District 3 lakes in the algae data. The STORET data contains observations from sites along the Ohio River and reservoirs in Illinois. Also, any station code that begins withe "1" denotes an inflow our outflow site and will not be included in the analysis.
