Add ability to customize landing srcreen #302

Most of Lew Rossman's programs work from left to right and the tutorials and you-tube videos are set up this way. I recommend rhat the user have the opportunity to customize the landing page of the GUI.

@michelleannesimon when you have a chance, could you please test the latest dev-ui-py3qt5 and confirm that it's allowing you to customize your landing screen? If so, can we close this?

Hello Colleen, The top part remains as specified (good job!) but the folders on the side do not remain collapsed. Is it possible to also keep the side panel as specified by the user?
