environment setup

What do I need to do to prepare an environment for this?

In order of my current preference:

1. use a cloud jupyter host (see list below)
2. create a jupyterhub for our lab: https://github.com/jupyterhub/the-littlest-jupyterhub
3. everyone uses seashell
4. individual python setups on everybody's laptop

choose a cloud jupyter host

There are a lot to choose from; google colab, binder, azure, etc. Here are some articles doing comparisions:

• dataschool : overall binder looks like our best fit. Has nice detailed breakdown of services.
• rutgers marine : suggests collab b/c it saves automatically like gdrive
• dataviz article. : gives good overview of services. says binder is not good for collaboration but I am not sure how true that is if we are using git.

we're gonna try binder-ing it because it is the one that interests me most personally. :shipit:
