Millennium Coral Reef Mapping Project Site port? #23

Open 7yl4r opened 2 years ago

The Millenium Coral Reef Project page is built within a different system than the main (old) imars drupal webpage. Ideally, this content would get ported too but much of it appears to be custom and closely tied with some aging infrastructure.

How much effort should be put into saving this content? Is it already backed up somewhere? What technology and server runs this website?

@c0bryant : can you go through what is available online (including what is available in the wayback machine here, and draft a new (short) page for the Millenium Corals project page on the new imars website?

As a reminder: you can access the wordpress editor via imars.usf.edu/wp-admin

Note from FMK:

millennium corals (Chelsea, Mostafa, Cara, Carolina)(there should be legacy material to draft a short paragraph on this, perhaps find the files that were created and serve them; point to ocean viewer corals page at WCMC)

More from FMK:

we used to serve millennium coals shapefiles that were not available with the WCMC or elsewhere

We need to find the section on the old website(s) that listed these files so that we can add them to the new website.
