When creating elists, it might be nice to add some info to the status table (e.g. merged_flow), including the start and end dates of the record and number of samples that makes it into the analysis. This will differ from earlier calculations because some samples got cut due to flow record matching issues.
This is now done in the merged_flow step - will allow us to keep track of site-parameter combos that may have data issues (e.g., high proportion of censored values).
