Let's also think about colors used for flow vs. model range vs. lead time, then put all those colors (and shapes, etc. if applicable) into a single file (e.g., 9_report/src/config_fig.R or 9_report/in/config_fig.yml or something), then use that file to assign colors and shapes in all the figures.
