Doesn't appear that the map will zoom out if necessary to zoom to an extent of a searched-for item. For instance, if I select Wisconsin while zoomed in close to the map (map scale shows 10km), the map pans to the middle of Wisconsin, doesn't zoom out to show the whole state.
