The USGS Metadata team encourages us to share our progress with them along the way, especially when we have example XMLs to share, so that we create something genuinely useful for SDC users. @HansVraga is this still desired? I could see something similar being useful but not sure this is the way we'd do it nowadays?
Athena pushed for this a while back. It's less of a priority for me personally, in comparison to the other with we have. Would be interested to see what Julia thinks.

[ ] Create general STN XML file describing the system
[ ] Create a STN Event XML template for providing metadata about STN events
[ ] Build an endpoint for generating an XML for each STN event following the template
[ ] Build a Lambda script for running that endpoint weekly and parking the results in a public S3 bucket for SDC to ingest.
