Nice, thank you. Might take me two weeks to integrate it ( I'm attending ACM
SIGSPATIAL GIS and the rest of the team is quite busy at work *g* ). Most
likely you'll see more frequent updates during the winter ;-).

The patch went (slightly modified) into Gentoo/KDE overlay for inclusion in
mainline Gentoo. I removed the parts modifying the library names as those
changes were reverted in mapnik-2.0.1.

Hi guys. I applied your patch*, but I still get compilation errors.
See the attached errors.log for the full list, but mainly:
mapnikrenderer.cpp:267:28: error: variable ‘mapnik::image_32 image’ has
initializer but incomplete type
mapnikrenderer.cpp:302:7: error: ‘image_view’ is not a member of
‘mapnik’

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

* actually I generated my own functionally identical version of the patch (see
MY attached monav-0.3-mapnik2.patch) to make it would work within the directory
structure of the formerly-existing package in the Arch User Repository (and
also because I'm new to package building AND patching, and this seemed the more
failsafe route). For the uninitiated but curious, the Arch Build System's mkpkg
runs runs through a package's PKGBUILD file (see attached
monav-preprocessor-hg.PKGBUILD)

For mapnik-2.1 another patch is needed in addition. This is already included in
the Gentoo/KDE overlay.
