Project Description

Description: This project enhances a real-time file integrity monitoring tool for cybersecurity applications. The tool is crucial for detecting unauthorized file changes, malware injections, or tampering in sensitive directories. The improvements include:

• A Start/Stop monitoring button in the GUI to allow for better control during monitoring sessions.
• Real-time logging with detailed information, including timestamps, file sizes, and the type of change (new, modified, or deleted).
• A user-friendly Tkinter-based interface to allow users to easily select directories, set scan intervals, and view real-time status messages.

Objectives:

1. Enhance real-time detection and logging of file changes in critical directories.
2. Improve user interaction through start/stop controls in the GUI.
3. Provide more detailed logs, crucial for cybersecurity audits and forensic investigations.
