Annotations apparently cannot be deleted #125

Clicking the red button with the trash icon does nothing. I have not yet investigated in detail yet, but there is no error in the console.

This functionality was added in #102 and then lost again in the subsequent merge (most likely 6e026c7, otherwise 47a5012). I'm preparing a commit that restores the lost changes.
