Clarification of forcing units #938

I'm using VIC 5 and following the documentation here. It seems confusing that in the sample global parameter file, precipitation is in kg/m2/s and temperature with Kelvin.

In the description of forcing input files, the unit for temperature is celsius and mm for precipitation. Can you clarify the unit here?

it seems this has been addressed in https://github.com/UW-Hydro/VIC_sample_data/pull/17. But the documentation is not updated.
