Dark mode is not supported #2

In both FF and Chrome the page renders strangely if the system default is set to dark mode. This is not the case with the UW template, so is likely an al-folio/jekyll thing. Switching the browser to light mode and hard refreshing doesn't correct it for some reason. Capture

Likely related to a null reference that is happening in dark_mode.js as seen in console in the screenshot.

Setting enable_darkmode to false in _config.yml seems to solve the issue.
