TO DO in repo #23

Search repo for the text "TO DO" and ensure those things are done.

The only todo (not case sensitive search) which I found is the following

which is in the "olds" folder and therefore not maintained any more (changes to the new data structutre are not ported here). Also, it says "CHECK PARAMETER" which probably should be done (when really necessary) by somebody else as it refers in my understanding to the parameter values and not structure.

There are only two occurrences of to do and they are in the text.

I have done some edits in the README.md file - @opetchey could you please check? There are still references to the publication to be added.

I have reserved the following DOI:

The diversity_envresp1 repo should be linked to GitHub and we simply make a release, which than gets a version specific DOI which we can use to refer to the code from the manuscript.
