Fix simulation code please #24

Dear Rainer I put some old code into the supplement. The supplement knits fine, but the code in this section to make the datasets will not run as it is old. Please could you update it so it works?

The paths are adjusted and pushed.

I also enabled the simulation by default as it adds insignificant longer run times.
