[pretix] warning for instability due to high memory consumption? #1690

I've just moved a pretix instance to an uberspace, which works so far, but the memory consumption is just too high, leading to processes getting killed.

It seems like the 1.5GB of allowed RAM are simply not enough.

maybe there should be a warning on the lab page that people should use it only for smaller instances (what number could we state?) otherwise it might not run stable?

how 'big' was your instance? how big of a event were you aiming at?

did you experience problems at some 100 assumed users or was it more at a 1000 users?

@chriskbach it was an event with with 771 orders and 1599 ordered products :)

I just found out, that the guide needs a rewrite anyhow. The latest version requires PostgreSQL instead of MySQL ... this might have an effect on the performance I guess. I will try
