@MoffKalast I believe that 'forward' and 'ahead' are supposed to be different. 'forward' is the forward-up (legacy name), and 'ahead' is supposed to be a directly forward facing camera.
I agree that this needs to be cleared up.
Ah, I wasn't even aware of such a direct forward mount.
Currently there appears to be a slight mess when it comes to definitions. Certain nodes define the forward-up facing camera as 'ahead' others 'forward'. It is also unclear whether the urdf definitions are up to speed on position and rotation of physical mounts.
