Maybe we can improve the website with a sentence or two?
I read this announcement, then the entire homepage, then the entire Learn More page. I'm still no closer to learning how this is different from stock Ubuntu.
And I've been using Ubuntu for 11 years.

It's pretty easy to understand it's Ubuntu with a different desktop environment...

What DE? How is it different and what is its relationship with Unity/GNOME/KDE? The fact that I can read through those three pages in entirety and still have no answers to those questions is pretty bad.

Which quote did I overlook? I just re-read those pages completely and everything on them can apply to vanilla Ubuntu (automatic updates, Steam, community development, etc.).

Not to mention the information on the page this post links to, here is a quote from the homepage of the website:
"Ubuntu Budgie is community developed desktop, integrating Budgie Desktop Environment with Ubuntu at its core."

But this means nothing. It's just saying "Ubuntu Budgie is Ubuntu with Budgie."
Why is it interesting, what different experiences does it bring to the table, that sort of thing needs to be on the page, ideally in a short paragraph.

Try watching the overview video.
Budgie is basically GNOME with a number of modifications to make it more user-friendly.

Cool. But it needs to be explained on the main page is my point. As it stands, it's hard for someone who has never heard of it before to know what it's about.

Yeah, it needs a paragraph front and centre saying what this actually is.
