"This file is fragmented" #122

What step(s) will reproduce the problem?
Anytime I start up my Gamecube with the SD Media Launcher Disc (for European
consoles) & The SD Media Launcher plugged in and select either SWISS.dol oder
swiss-lz-viper.dol (both 0.3) or SWISS-LZ.DOL or swiss-unpacked dol (both 0.2)
to select my SDGecko with the iso file; it finally says "This file is
fragmented" Doesn't seem to change anything to change speed between fast &
compatible, slot a or b, with or without disc. would be really nice if you
could help me.

What console are you running Swiss on (Wii/GC)?
Gamecube PAL

What version of Swiss are you using?
tired Swis 0.3 r174 (nothing worked), 0.2 r94 - Paper Mario worked, anything
else didn't.

What disc was in the drive if any?
SD Media Launcher, tried with Mario Party 6 instead after i read it could fix
the problem to have any disc in the drive.

What device was the data being loaded from (SD/HDD/DVD/DVD-R)?
SD Card

Thx in Advance

Seems like i found the solution. The files indeed were fragmented and all I had
to do was to clean format the SD card and copy the files one at a time to make
sure they're written in one stream. once done that i checked the files on a
windows computer and they werent fragmented anymore. tried the card in my
gamecube - worked. hopefully this helps someone having the same problems.
cheers.

If you use one of the later builds from the nightly builds thread found on
gc-forever.com, fragmentation support should be better.
