Unable to back up Game Boy Player-Start up Disk to SD Card (SDML)

I have a trimmed .dol of "Game Boy Player-Start up Disk" and it crashes
1. motor off = Generic Gamecube Crash Screen (oem) Please restart your game
cube/read manual.

2. Motor on = Blank Screen

using Swiss 0.1-r47 with 1GB sd card on Standard (unmodded) gamecube.

The main.dol loads the GFX from the disc fs so that obviously won't work ...

A backup copy has to burned to a disc, it cannot be played from an SD card or
other external media as of yet.
