Gyroid infill goes through perimeters #13836

Open killerline10168 opened 2 years ago

killerline10168 commented 2 years ago

Application Version

5.2.1

Platform

Windows 11

Printer

Ender 3 Max

Reproduction steps

I accidenteley set my infill density to 1% and the pattern as Gyroid and when sliced the infill goes through a perimeter for some reason. I am not sure if any other settings are affecting this.

This is not happening with infills above 1% and probably only with Gyroid.

Actual results

This is the results of using 1% Gyroid infill:

1% infill

Close up

Expected results

How it should be working (this is with 2% infill - which is working as intended):

2% infill

Sorry if I missed uploading something, this is my first bug report and I just want to do my part in this wonderful community. Thanks for developing this awesome program and for all your hard work!

Thanks for the report and the files. I can duplicate this with your project file. It seems to be related to the "Infill Line Width". When I change it to 0.4 the problem goes away. The Infill Line Width also seems to affect the apparent density of the Infill. Someone from the Cura team will take a look.

Additional: The "bad" infill moves do show up in the Gcode.
