Error slicing file after layer height change #15292

Open Barkingmad15 opened 1 year ago

Barkingmad15 commented 1 year ago

Application Version

5.3.0

Platform

Windows 11

Printer

Creality Ender 3 V2 Neo

Reproduction steps

Opened an STL file into Cura, sliced the file & then changed the layer height from 0.2 to 0.28 & re-sliced so I could see the time difference. It was at the re-slicing stage it failed & asked me to send a bug report. 0_00Base-Edited_028_Eryone_Eryone_PLA+.zip cura.log

Actual results

Cura screen shows slicing & stalls about half way & after a few seconds displays an error message. Screenshot (2)

Expected results

Sliced model ready to upload to Moonraker

Additional information & file uploads

Cura appears to be acting normally on other files. I don't think it's an issue with the file as it slices at lower layer heights.

Thanks for the report and the file. I can duplicate the problem. At .28 Initial Layer Height it slices again. Someone from the Cura team will take a look.

Those threads are going to need support. I thought this model looked better with normal supports. A side benefit is that the print time goes down by 30 minutes.
