Open clarkkent435 opened 1 year ago

clarkkent435 commented 1 year ago

Application Version

5.3.1

Platform

Windows 10

Printer

Anycubic Mega S

Reproduction steps

  1. Imported a model from Printables (https://files.printables.com/media/prints/137037/stls/1305890_edf9533e-bbe1-4bee-a9b3-b6e590b3b1b9/235mm.stl)
  2. Sliced and printed it successfully
  3. Resized it by scaling uniformly, then turned off uniform scaling and adjusted the Z dimension
  4. Attempted to re-slice
  5. Got the error "Slicing failed with an unexpected error. Please consider reporting..."
  6. Saved the scaled model as a .3mf file
  7. Restarted Cura and opened the project file

Actual results

  1. Attempted to slice; same error

Expected results

Slice, get print estimate, send to printer.

Thanks for the report. From your log file: "Backend exited abnormally with return code 3221225477!". My understanding is that the return code indicates a memory error occurred during slicing. Someone from the Cura team will take a look. They may ask for a project file and you could post it on something like Google Drive and post a download link here.
