Is your feature request related to a problem?

Hello, I am using well Cura for jobs on my DAGOMA Discoeasy200. Then I want now to use a 3d Printer Resin, the Elegoo Saturn 8k. So, Why not to make a new fonctionality for resin printers ?...

Describe the solution you'd like

I would be able to have a possibility to slice objects for 3d resin printers, with my printer config known (Elegoo Saturn 8k) by choosing Filament or Resin (the object is not build the same way) , I really do like the interface, so I will be pleased to continue with Cura.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Use of Vlare, LitcheeSlicer or also Chitubox, but feel not really confortable with the interface

Affected users and/or printers

All 3d resin printers owners

Hey @Alextrain26,

That would be super cool indeed but a enormous task. Personally, I would love to not have to switch softwares when I switch printers but unfortunately, I don't think that this is something UltiMaker will be working on.

I believe that some people are able to use a Peopoly Moai with Cura. Maybe you can figure out a way to make it work for your case aswell.

We believe we will not work on this anytime soon and will therefore defer this issue. To be able to focus on the most requested and needed features and bug fixes from our community and from UltiMaker.
