Cura Version

5.6.0

Operating System

Win 10, ryzen 2700x, rx590

Printer

Custom(Elegoo neptune 4 plus)

Name abnormal settings

Nothing abnormal If I use normal setting it will slice until I check "Generate Support"

Describe model location

center build plate, 90degree(so that the inner of the joystick face the buildplace)

Describe your model

It's an half of a not so pretty joystick

Add your .zip here ⬇️

I tried changing support Structure, Pattern, Density without success.. since the problem seem to be coming from enabling support I still have a 5.2.1 cura installed(for my ender3max) and I'm able to slice this file without any problem I tried to "fix"(I beleive my model is already good) my model with Mesh tools without success(model is watertight) I was able to slice in 5.6.0 when I put both both model(left and right joystick half) the first time(with support) but printer would crash(2 hours in a 20h print). Wasn't able to slice after that Files.zip

Did a few more test playing with settings, now I can slice it with support structure set to normal instead of tree, Weirdly enough I wasn't able 1 hour ago... played with alot of setting so i'm trying to see what I did "wrong" for it to not work 1h ago..

We made some improvements to prevent slicing fails in Cura 5.7.0 available to download now. I was able to slice your model successfully in 5.7.0. Could you test if that's the case for you as well? You can download it here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/releases/tag/5.7.0
