[5.X.X] No Infill in thin walls #19793

Open TimKrautwald opened 3 weeks ago

TimKrautwald commented 3 weeks ago

Cura Version

5.8.0 (Tested), seems on 5.X.X

Operating System

Windows 10

Printer

Voron 2.4 / Troodon2

Reproduction steps

  1. Load thin modell e.g. 3mm thickness (wall) into Cura
  2. Slice with 3 Outlines 15% Infill and Minimum Infill Area set to 0.0mm²
  3. Get no Infill

Actual results

image

No Infill, even when an explicit modifier is placed in this area.

Expected results

Infill obviously, but I would like to explain why this is important. We produce a lot of parts for the orthopedic industry and many fall into this thickness category (they are worn on the body). The infill is mechnically really important (Gyroid / Schwarz). Currently I have to fall back on Cura4 or use Orca (which uses Arachne but fills correctly).

Thanks for the report. This is a duplicate of several other reports. The Cura team has noted this and is looking at solutions. See #19478 and if you do a search here there are a couple of other bug reports about this. I'll leave this open although it does appear to be the same as the previous reports. I'll add the duplicate tag.
