Actually altering models is something that is best left to applications that have the capability as their main function. A slicer should be a slicer. I use Microsoft 3D Builder for adding text to any STL. You can pick the font and other options.

The Benchy is actually a sport fisherman. My alterations were done in 3D Builder as well. 3D Builder also has repair capability that is better than Cura provides. image
