Invite one fellow trainee from the class you have worked with this week for a feedback session. Arrange the call so you can give and receive feedback and get more insight into how you are progressing with your learning.

What is the purpose of this assignment?

To provide and receive constructive feedback on your and your peers' behaviours in the last class.

How to submit

  1. Prepare the feedback for your peer. You must have at least 1 positive and 1 to be developed example.

  2. When you receive the feedback, please remember your active listening techniques.

  3. Write a 250 words essay reflecting on your strengths and development areas as a result of their feedback and what is one action for each you will take.

Reflecting on the feedback I received, I appreciate being acknowledged for my skills and the emphasis on how I foster a positive learning environment. One of my key strengths, as noted, is my ability to encourage and support others without making them feel inadequate. This aspect of my character not only strengthens teamwork but also helps build a more collaborative and inclusive atmosphere. I will continue to focus on this strength by actively seeking opportunities to mentor or guide others, ensuring I remain approachable and helpful.

However, the feedback also highlights a recent misunderstanding in communication, suggesting an area for improvement. While I take responsibility when things go wrong, this is a reminder to be more proactive in ensuring clarity and avoiding miscommunication. I can address this by refining my communication skills, especially in team settings, by asking for feedback on my clarity and ensuring that all parties are on the same page before concluding any discussion.

For each area, I’ve identified one action. To further build on my strength of supporting others, I will set up regular check-ins with my peers, offering assistance where needed. For my development area, I will implement a habit of summarizing key points after every significant conversation to prevent future misunderstandings and foster clearer communication. These steps will help me grow and continue contributing positively to the group.
