Shift key doesn't work as expected #211

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open 'test settings'
2. Press 'a' to remove shift mode, program outputs 'A' as expected
3. Hold shift key to enable caps lock
4. Press two keys in sequence e.g. keys 'h' and 'j'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: 'AHJ', shift enabled
Instead: 'AhJ', shift enabled

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
imaginary

Doesn't work, test case output is "AHj", a bit different.

Forgot to mention that after pressing 'h' shift green light is not on.

Please provide a full reproduce sequence.

I am able to reproduce using the same sequence, see the first post.

I get following results
Expected: 'AHJ', shift enabled
Instead: 'AHj', shift disabled

Is this how it should work? I expect that when I hold the shift it would turn
caps
lock on but that might not be the case...

Since I don't have a device at my hands right now, I need to ask some more dumb
questions:
Have yo noticed I've disabled the long-press for caps-lock feature?
Now, if you want to move to caps-lock, you need to press shift again (there
will be a
special icon now, not like before)

If you truly have disabled the long-pres for caps-lock THEN the program works as
expected (in 20091215_testers)!

Ah the caps-lock icon is very good, makes it clear that caps lock is on.
