Gpu not mining. #96

Hello and thanks for making this wonderful tool!

Whenever I try to run the exe nothing happens, stealth is turned off and I got a 2070 with 8 GB. When I open task manager the explorer doesn't take any GPU power. I got no other software running and I have no idea what the problem is. It isn't showing up on my pool which is Minergate.com.

Just ask if there's anything more you need to know!

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

It won't show GPU usage in Task Manager because it's not designed to show that kind of usage. Use something like Process Hacker or MSI Afterburner to check it. Other then that you can also post your settings here so I can check them.

The settings look correct, though I don't usually recommend MinerGate due to their bad server connections and because they steal hashrate. Try using something like Process Hacker to check the mining process, you can search for --cinit in the top right search box and it will show the mining processes. You can then double-click it and check the GPU tab to see if it's using any GPU memory.

Alright, I will probably switch to nano pool and will also check that out. Will update you if something new comes up!

Anyways, thanks for the quick answer and support!

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

So do I have to install Nanominer to use Nanopool? Kinda confusing...

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

Or how do I make an account, that's my question.

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Not it's just a pool, use one of the addresses here: https://eth.nanopool.org/ like eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 and then enter your ETH wallet address in the 'Wallet Address' field.

90% of pools don't have registrations.

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

Oh, sorry my bad.

I think I talk for everyone that uses this tool when I say this, Thank you!

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

What wallet are you using? Is "MyCrypto" good?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

I use Exodus.

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

Alright, I got nano pool and exodus. But how do I see if I receive something from my miner?

Does the Wallet address start with something like 0x.......?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Yes, in Exodus go to Ethereum and then press 'Receive' and it should show your wallet address. If you start the miner and use something like Process Hacker to check the mining process then you can search for --cinit in the top right search box and it will show the mining processes. You can then double-click it and check the GPU tab to see if it's using any GPU memory, if it is then it means that it has connected to the pool and is mining.

Gpu Not getting any GPU usage

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

It's using it and working, you can see it by it using the Dedicated memory. Neither Process Hacker nor Task Manager show the kind of GPU usage that the miner uses.

Smurfboi007 commented 3 years ago

Alright, thank you so much!

is there any way to see it live coming into your wallet? Or just see how much you made, or is that showing up on the Etherium page?

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

It won't come in live in your Exodus wallet since that would cost A LOT of money (right now it's really cheap at $1 per transaction but if it was sending it to you often the transaction cost would pile up quickly). You can check the hashrate on nanopool by entering your wallet address in the top right corner although you will have to mine at least 1 share before it start registering statistics.

Alright, thanks!
