i want to test the miner to see if it works, but i dont know how, i setup everything with nanopool, but i dont know how to tell if my miner works since i cant see workers on nanopool website i tried to use any.run but it wont run on windows 7 so i just need a way to see if it works

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

You can check if it's working by starting it (without 'Stealth' enabled) and seeing if it's using any CPU. If it does then it's working,

You can also send your settings here and I'll check them.

its working, but now how do i see if im able to get the money? im not able to see the worker on nanopool so how do i see how many people ive infected and how can i see if im actually getting crypto

If it's working then everything will work by itself without any other input if you just spread the miner around (although it's also recommended to enable '"Kill" Windows Defender' and to obfuscate it: https://github.com/UnamSanctam/SilentXMRMiner/wiki#how-can-i-decrease-detections to decrease antivirus detections). The worker should appear when you've at least mined 1 share and when they've updated it on the site. It's technically not supported by any pool to see the amount of miners you have (since really only malicious miners would ever want to) but you can technically use {%COMPUTERNAME%} as the worker name for it to mine with the computer name as the worker name. You will see if you're getting crypto on nanopool when you have miners that are mining.

how can i obfuscate it? i read the paragrapj but i dont understand how to do it and i dont see any way nanopool would be able to tell me workers if i dont have a specific account

As it said in the link just download something like https://github.com/mkaring/ConfuserEx and then load this project (by pressing 'Open project') https://anonfiles.com/BdZ605y4uf/SilentXMRMiner7_crproj and then drag the miner file into the box in the first tab then press the 'Protect' tab and press the protect button. The obfuscated miner should then be located in a folder called 'Confused'.

and i dont see any way nanopool would be able to tell me workers if i dont have a specific account

You mine directly to your Monero wallet address, that's technically your account.

is it fud? i just need it to bypass windows defender

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

This is with '"Kill" Windows Defender' enabled and obfuscated with ConfuserEx. antiscan

i figured it out, thanks, but is there any way to crypt it more, because defender still detects it, and thats what i dont want to detect it

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

Did you obfuscate it properly and did you enable '"Kill" Windows Defender'? You should also try it on another computer since your Windows Defender will remember the code signatures.

i pressed open project, i double clicked the anonfiles link project, then i pressed the protect tab and i put the miner(not the dll) in the big box, then i clicked protect, and it made the file in a new folder, i put the file in virustotal and it says its detected in defender https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/9878495b20fa4aa445649a9ebef4084a44802b80d0c1081a0afb1b4896b52e23/detection

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

You dragged the miner file in the box on the first page? And is that the file that you got from the 'Confused' folder? You also shouldn't use VirusTotal since they distribute the file to antivirus companies and makes the file get detected.

dsfdsdwcdsfsdf commented 3 years ago

no i opened the app, then i pressed open file and i put in that anonfile project, then i pressed protect tab, and put the MINER in the big box, then i pressed protect and then it made the folder with the protected one inside, and if i shouldnt use virustotal which should i use

also when testing the file in a vm, i have it set to stealth mode and to use only 20% when the user is active and 80% when idle, but when i open task manager, the process does not stop, and the file is using 55% not 20% like i set it to use, its also injected into svhost

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

If you have 'Stealth' enabled then it should pause the miner, what OS is the VM running? If it's set to use 20% then it will use a maximum of 20% of your CPU cores. But lets say that your VM only has 2 cores then 20% of 2 cores is 1 core or 50% which is probably why it uses 50%.

so should i use 0% when non idle because i dont want it using 50% cpu while someones non idle, unless your able to make a system detect thing that detects how many cores the pc has and adjusts it to use the correct %

UnamSanctam commented 3 years ago

It already auto-detects and uses the correct % of cores. It uses 50% because you only have 2 cores and it can't use less because 100%/2=50% so the minimum usage is 50%. On a real computer (99% of computers have at least 4 cores) then 20% would be around 25% CPU usage since 4*0,2=0,8 so it would use 1 core meaning 100%/4=25%.
