Use a Big Sur style tracking split in the toolbar so there can be a full height sidebar and all that.
I started to do this while refactoring the toolbar, but ran into too many issues, so this task is deferred.
Opening a second window (whether or not the first was still open) triggered an exception claiming that a second tracking item was tracking the same split.
When the split was resized to the right, the title would move to the left instead of keeping centered.
I suspect these issues, especially the second, may be Apple bugs.
