Now of course the explosion is gonna hurt you but the stone waves also hurt you D: I believe this to be a bug since other bombs like blood bombs have it so that the creep does not hurt you.

I'm pretty sure this is intended behaviour.

Rock waves in the base game do blast type-damage. I'm pretty sure the rock bomb waves function the same way. While bombs don't hurt you with their creep, effects that extend the blast do still hurt Isaac.
