Behaviour of Placed and Unplaced lists in Location view #50

Closed tutebatti closed 2 years ago

Currently, the info text of the Location view reads in one place:

In Only active mode, only the brushed locations are listed.

What is meant or what it should be:

In Only active mode, only those locations are listed to which evidences are attributed.

What is more, I wondered if, in All data mode, there is a difference between the locations which would be, analogous to other views, highlighted or grayed-out.

Rather:

In Only active mode, only those locations are listed to which evidences that match the current filters are attributed.

Linking also happens in the location list, but that is, I think, described in detail already.

We decided against that in #192@TIK, but instead apply that behavior to the location confidence filter specifically.

Thank you for clarification.

Does

but instead apply that behavior to the location confidence filter specifically

refer to the following section in the current info text?

Additionally, when the Location Confidence Filter does not match the location's location confidence, the name is displayed in italics, darker, and desaturated. The confidence circle is also not filled in that case. Keep in mind that this can only happen when the All data display mode is active, otherwise locations with non-matching location confidence will be hidden.

Exactly.
