Replacing the Main Fan? #212

Has anyone considered replacing the main fan with a quieter one? Does a quieter one even exist? If not, has anyone found a quieter solution than the stock fan?

Hi,
Yes I did think at this but not for the issue of noise. taliesin has put the fan outside and put an air straightener in front of it ( https://github.com/taliesin/T-962-improvements). The claim was that temp difference diminished drastically during the cooling phase. My previous test showed that the differences in temp during heating are (partially most probably) due to a defective isolation on the side of the heating chamber and adding at least one layer of continuous insulant greatly improves the situation. However during cooling phase difference of up to 30 even 40 °C can be seen between the left (cooler) and the right ( warmer) side. I ordered a replacement fan of 25 mm thickness in replacement of the 38 mm original fan ( good quality by the way) along with a metallic air straightener ( reused from photographic equipment ). I will send the info about the results. I will also try to do a noise measure
