Selecting objects in a scene and marking them to render out to an alpha channel
The ability to export an alpha channel as a matte & as rendered objects (very useful for creating marketing materials & in-game UI assets as well)
Framerate independent, highest quality render path, i.e. super smooth 60fps from offline/non-realtime render.
Saveable presets for format, framerate, etc accross all parameters, similar to post processing profiles.
Alpha as both from the skybox and as a plane, we often need to insert a greenscreen plane to cut a scene up into the parts we need for a render.
Dumpframes (unsure if this is already in)
I note there's no auto-suffixing of files at the moment when you record (just looking at the video), some kind of meta generation or prefix/suffix settings for date/time/project would be good for wrangling
Tiledshot commands (render out super high resolution screenshots)
demorec utilities similar to Unreal, to record live gameplay, this is slightly outside of this conversation but an incredibly useful tool. This would ideally record straight to timeline via selected objects.
camera utility inside those demorecs which has functions to change FOV, depth of field, and create camera paths, this could just be using timeline.
Pre-roll, we have been having some issues with timeline not playing all object positions correctly on the first playthrough, requiring a master sequence to play the main timeline twice and recording the second playthrough.
Stretch goals:
The ability to fill EXR channels independently would be an incredible good for compositing - render the background to one channel, render the shadows to another... would be incredible
Z-depth pass for the above, would be very useful for compositing as well for depth effects
Export stereoscopic video - useful for people working in 3D cinema/VR probs
Export a full FBX/baked OBJ sequence from your video
Features that would be useful to us:
