Screenshot 2022-12-15 at 16 33 30

As you can see in the screenshot the bottom icon has a little square on it and its state does not show/hide the object when using the selection group eye icon.

Any Idea why this is?

First time I've seen it. Any idea how we can reproduce this issue ?

First time I've seen it. Any idea how we can reproduce this issue ?

I installed the very latest via adding https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/com.unity.selection-groups.git to the package manager. ( 0.8 preview )

Then I created a selection group with some objects that were in the hierarchy scene. ( prefabs ) Then I click on the eye icon in the selection groups ( the icon you have to enable in settings and can be found on the right side go the selection groups.

I see it does not happen with a directional light, but it does happen with a prefab. Screenshot shows the two states.

I tried this, but I can't reproduce it. Perhaps you can attach your sample project here in github ?

Also, could you let us know the following information ?

I have a sample project here: Mac OS 12.6.2 Unity version 2021.3.16f1

Open the scene PrefabVisibilitTestScene.unity and press the Eye icon in the selection group panel. You will see its not hiding the cube, I think it happens when using with nested prefabs.

Thank you very much. We'll take a look and investigate this.

I thinks we have addressed this in the latest dev branch. We'll release this officially as part of version 0.8.1-preview.
