Bracelet Design

Once enabled, this sits on the user's wrist, just below the controller, and remains visible and intractable but non-intrusive.

Pip-Boy Style The tool is both shown and interacted with on the hand it operates from- like changing a setting on your handy Pip-Boy, or setting your phaser to stun.

Tools

Simplifying PB down to the core, and best for VR: Shape Creation, Editing (elements, textures), and Painting/Sculpting

Shape Tool

Used to create Shapes. Currently selected shape is displayed on the "Shape Tool" button.

Use:

  1. Select Shape Tool (ray-click or use thumbstick)
  2. If needed, open "Detailed View" to choose a Shape
  3. Click the ray on a point (grid or surface) to begin creating the Shape, continue clicking to define all points (ie, for a Box: first corner, diagonal corner, opposite face)
  4. Continue creating Shapes, or choose a new Shape, or hit "B" / swap Tools to end Shape creation

Edit Tool

Can edit as Shape (parametric), or Mesh (vert, edge, face, etc).

Shape Editing

  1. Select Edit Tool
  2. If needed, open "Detailed View" and click "Revert to Shape"
  3. Adjust shape using method described in #8 , or via standard panel shown in "Detailed View"

Mesh Editing

  1. Select Edit Tool
  2. If needed, open "Detailed View" and click "Convert to Mesh"
  3. Click on Edges or Faces to select and manipulate. No separate Edge/Face modes, no Vertex mode.

Paint and Sculpt Tool

Still WIP on this one- I'm thinking a simplified version of Polybrush would do very well here? Just painting vertex colors and sculpting geometry.
