Pokemon Won't Save #75

Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

Hello i'm new to this whole modding thing and using the pkm-chest. I was able to get it loaded on to my DSIxl with no issues but every time i try to create a Pokemon on my heart gold save file nothing saves over to the actual game or in the pkm-chest. I even created a full team of pokemon saved it before i left the app and nothing was saved to the actual game. I know i'm missing something here but i can't figure it out for sure lol. i am using a sd card with a rom not a physical cartridge.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Any ideas on how to get the pokemon or items to save and work on the game.

Hmm, are you pressing X and choosing "Save" (or "Exit") before quitting pkmn-chest? You need to do that for changes to be saved. Also make sure to say yes when it asks if you want to save changes to the save file. (changes to the "chest" is when you do things with Pokémon in the top screen boxes, if you haven't edited anything in those then you can optionally skip that to save a few seconds)

Correct I made sure I was saving prior to leaving, but I did notice once I clicked save, the "discard and save" option would pop back up and if I clicked b and exit and go back in everything would be gone. I just clicked save a few times till it exited out on its own and opened the save file back up and the Pokémon were saved in the chest. Maybe it's just not initially recognizing the save for whatever reason.

The first time it asks is for the chest, the second is the save. If you're clicking discard to the second time it asks that would be why it's not saving.

That make sense, I have to double save on the chest and while exiting the app sometimes it freezes during the save as well. If I close the console and open it, it works just fine. I'll post a video of it. Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing haha
