annotation of "i bhfad níos X" #83

Currently "i bhfad" is usually annotated as an nmod of the preceding noun, with the comparative adjective X as an independent amod of the same noun. This phrase should be a constituent though, with "i bhfad" as a kind of adverbial modifier (like English "much more X") Since it's a nominal, making "i bhfad" an obl of the adjective is probably the right thing, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Coming back to this. obl attachment to an ADJ seems strange .. unless (controversial!) it's treated as a fixed expression. In many ways it is, if the multiword represents an intensifier and not a NP per se.

Could bhfad also be considered a cranberry word in that it only appears in that form in that context?
