Sentence segmentation in OCS was largely synchronised with the segmentation of the Greek parallel text, which was based on (editorial) punctuation – there had to be a good reason to deviate from the Greek segmentation. When there was no parallel text the principle was to choose the shorter option when there was a choice, but the practice was somewhat impressionistic.
