Hi

I am not sure why I cant scrub my videos back and forth. I am guessing that it must be a codec issue. I tried different videos so I am thinking that some transcoding happenin somewhere?

I went through the wiki but I cant answer my problem. I am on linux (the server is also) and I tried vlc and mx player on Android.

I just want to eb able to resume and scrub videos on a mobile device. Any recommendations?

I will try.

The main issue I seem to have is that Vlc nightly can scrub vidoes but Mx player cant on Android. Not sure why this is the case ;(

What codecs do you guys recommend for Linux x64 server? I also tried different versions of java, but that got very confusing, it looks like different java versiosn (x32, x64, openjdk) etc produced different codec outputs

@gerroon In which way your issue have anything to do with UMS ? Sorry, i don't get it. If VLC work fine on Android why do you want use MX Player ?

I'm not a Linux or VLC user. That's said, mixing Java versions have many chance to give you more issues, imho.

@Sami32 BubbleUPnP/MX Player currently is the "best" Android DLNA client as far as I know. I haven't looked into VLC on Android more than a very brief test, but I doubt their DLNA support is anywhere close to BubbleUPnPs. We don't have renderer profiles for either, so none of them work well "out of the box".

Where do you get the "mixing Java versions" from?

I simply don't know what "scrub" is, and there's still no log posted so there's not a lot to do with this atm.
