tsmuxer cannot remux some mkv (pes packet too large) #1019

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to watch some mkv (E:\download\blackswan-720p.mkv in attached log
file)on my sony KDL5500W
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is the movie :)
Instead my TV displayed "video indisponible" on a black screen. Tsmuxer aborted
remuxing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ps3ms: 1.21.1
OS: windows 7 64 bit pro

If you are transcoding a media file, which engine are you using (mencoder,
avisynth/mencoder, tsmuxer?)
Mencoder was used to transcoded but its output was incorrect for tsmuxer

If the media file is in error (or does not play flawlessly), what are the codec
informations of this file (you can use following program:
mediainfo.sourceforge.net) ?

Please provide any additional information below and PLEASE JOIN debug.log file
!!

I think the is in some relation to VBR bitrate. So I use the software AVI-Mux
GUI 1.17.8.3 to convert it to CBR, constant bitrate.
This new converted mkv can be muxed correctly without the error.
I must covert DTS to AC3 too, after that I played mkv direclty on me TV.
But for txmuxer without this error I need only convert it to CBR...

The media info for this converted mkv is:

Have I the truth, is something with VBR??,... but it can be something else
(DTS, AC3...)

Some others commnets:
I try the version PS3 MEDIA SERVER 1.10.5 with txmuxer version 1.8.18.
This PS3 Media server 1.10.5 remux old mkv and the new converted mkv without
the error.

I try the version PS3 MEDIA SERVER 1.22.0 with older txmuxer version 1.8.18.
The error "Pes packet len too large ( >100Mb). Bad stream or invalid codec
speciffed." was egnerated.

So I think it's not txmuxer problem. Combination PS3 Media server 1.22.0 with
txmuxer version 1.10.XX can be the problem. Something with CBR, DTS...

Debug in attachments....

I hope you can you see the media info difference. I hope this helps for
correction this issues because I must now use the PS3MS 1.22.0 for all files
and on other computer PS3MS 1.10.5 for mkv with this problem, because on one
computer is thi imposible because of the same PMS.CONF for the both version. I
cant. configurate it to run on others ports on the same computer so I need too
PC.

This contains the solution:
http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p38969

it's a memory issue... some mkv goes out of memory with ps3mediaserver
increasing it fix the issue
