Crash with high res mkv files #494

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start playing any 1920x1080 MKV movie
2. Use "go to" feature, select a different time e.g. 01:00:00
3. Wait about 5 seconds, PS3 disconnects and PS3 Media Server crashes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It's expected to continue to play normally. It disconnects and crashes
instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.10.51 on Windows 7 x64

I have a similar problem: (with 6GB of RAM, on linux):

[New I/O server worker #1-1] TRACE 01:38:49.905 Starting transcode/remux of

[mencoder] TRACE 01:39:00.819 Process mencoder has a return code of 137! Maybe
an
error occured... check the log file
<ps3ms exiting>...
------

It's not always reproducible on all files, but it's mostly caused
by the "scene search" [square button on the ps3].

Are you sure, you aren't also using 'scene search' instaed of 'goto' at the ps3?

Yes, I strictly use goto and manually input the time to seek to.

Same here.
The first few seconds are fine, then it stutters, cuts to a scene a few minutes
later in the movie, and plays a few seconds, then repeats that.
The video file works great in VLC player @ the pc.

Same problem here with mkv 1080p files without using goto on scene search, file
plays but then I have scene jumping and getting back to another point and jumps
again...
